Crisis in Bishop Eddie Long’s church. I am praying for this congregation. There is nothing like believing in someone all your life, then finding out that they have wronged you. There is nothing like looking up to some one as your role model, someone who gives you hope and believes in you, then finding out that that person is living a double life.

It is true that pastors are not perfect. Yes, we all sin! But pastors are role models and are supposed to be “the example”. Of course, people expect more of their pastor. I know i do, and such a thing would make me question the heart of the man of God.

We are all tempted in this world, but as men and women of God in high positions, it is their responsibility to lead the way and make the right decisions. I feel that he put himself in a position to allow this to happen in a way. I hope that it isn’t true because I highly respected this man, but am disappointed about the allegations.

From listening to his speech of Sunday morning to his congregation, I observed and quietly kept my thoughts to myself, but if these allegations turn out to be true. I will be remorseful for the New Birth Church. These are the kind of things that turn people away from Christianity. Trust me, I know. I grew up in the church. All the baby Christians will be shaken and rocked by this and will eventually blame everyone for this. They will use this as an excuse of why they don’t like going to church and etc…!!!!
