Are YOU trusting the wrong people???

Some people get hurt easily because they believe in a certain person so much that when that person somehow leaves them or walks away, they are lost, confused, and they turn away from God.

For example, many people put their trust in MAN, rather than GOD.

You see them at church, but they’re not there for God. They’re there for a man…for the man of God standing behind the pulpit. As if he is God himself.

I’ve heard people say things such as, “Well, I don’t go to church anymore because so and so pastor disappointed me!”

If you were really going to church for the right reasons, so and so pastor wouldn’t be able to shake your faith! But because you trust in the wrong person, you are easily shaken and broken.

All I’m saying is, we should get to know God for ourselves. We should go to church for God and not for man.

Yes, men and women of God are there to guide us, teach us, and mentor us, but they’re not there to become our refuge and our source of strength. God is our refuge. God is our source of strength.

Your relationship with God should be so strong that even if your pastor decides to walk out or leave the church or if he/she does something that disappoints you, your faith will not be shaken and you will continue to serve God even more than before!

My beloved, I urge you today to not give up on God. To not give up on your Christian faith because someone in the church has wronged you or disappointed you. Your faith shouldn’t be based on man.

If you’re walking around, mad at the world and mad at the church, refusing to go to church because it is the very same place that hurt you, then you are missing the whole point.

People will always disappoint, but if there’s someone who won’t, that’s JEHOVAH, The Great I AM!

Psalm 118:8 says:

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.

Good evening!

  1. Girl yes you betta give that word. LOL..Also just remember that some situations are not healthy and God allows some things to move us closer to him and if that means leaving a place that may or may not have dissappointed you, you must move. I am learning the hard way when the Lord says move you better move. However, I am using that word figuratively.
