Are your bones rotting with envy?

For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice-James 3:16
God is our specialist. Whenever you fail at something, he is able to work it out into His plans for you. Don’t compare yourself to others. Compare yourself to God.
“Love is the glue that cements friendships, but jealousy is the slime that keeps it from sticking.”
There was an athlete who ran well, but placed second place in a race. The winner was praised and eventually a statue was erected in his honor.
Envy ate away at the man who placed second. So guess what he decided to do? He destroyed the statue of the winner.
Every night, he’d go to the statue under cover of darkness and chiseled away at the base to weaken the foundation of the statue. Then one night, he was so angry and went too far. The statue crashed down on himself. He died beneath the weight of the statue of the man he’d grown to hate.
HIS OWN ENVY DESTROYED HIM. HIS OWN ENVY KILLED HIM.
“Envy is rebellion against God’s leading in the lives of his children. It’s saying that God has no right to bless someone else more than you.”—Erwin Lutzer
When someone gets blessed, be happy for them. Don’t envy; because you never truly know what you’re envying. Like that saying that goes, “Be careful what you wish for.”
A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot. Proverbs 14:30
