Today I wanted to share something interesting I read about honesty.
According to polls reported by USA Today, many Americans lie—and are lied to—much more than we realize.
91% of Americans lie constantly.![]()
36% of those tell dark, important lies
86% lie regularly to parents
75% lie to friends
73% lie to siblings
69% lie to spouses
81% lie about feelings
43% lie about income
40% about sex
My, my, my! For some people, lying has become a way of life. Like breathing. It has become a part of who they are and they do it constantly, calling some lies “small lies.” Please! All lies are the same. There are no greater lies and no smaller lies.
“A person who is dishonest in little things isn’t really honest in anything.” Charles Finney
A lie is a lie. And you know who else is a liar? The devil? That’s right! He is the father of lies……
O lord, help us!
Honesty is greatness itself.
What have you lied about today? It could be something as little as lying about a text you supposedly didn’t see when you actually did!
“Live your life so that your autograph will be wanted instead of your fingerprints! Be honest in all things!”
Let’s ALL try together to live a life of character…
